Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Wednesday an official decision on if he'll seek reelection in 2026 will come in the next few days.

At a news conference prior to the quarterly convening of commissioners for the Children’s Cabinet, Governor Tim Walz implied he is leaning toward running for re-election.

Gov. Tim Walz spoke with reporters on Wednesday at an Inver Grove Heights elementary school and talked about the possibility of running for re-election in 2026. He said an official announcement will come in the next few days.

"Rather than fostering healing, Democrats and gun-control groups like Everytown mocked 'thoughts and prayers,' ignored the shooter’s ideology and pushed gun-control fundraising within hours," Rep. Walter Hudson writes.
